NOVI VINODOLSKI spans approximately 45 kilometers southeast of Rijeka , the main Croatian harbor. Even thought summer days of the swimming season are very sunny, the temperature never gets to be unbearably hot. Mild wind that is warm and pleasant blows down the Vinodolski channel and cools off the air.
The unique geographical location of the Novi Vinodolski Riviera puts it in the vicinity of many areas ideal for daily field trips.These historical and medieval towns include: Vinodol, Drivenik, Grizane, Bribir, Ledenice and Tribalj, well known for its fresh water lake. Other places include wooded areas such as Breza and Krmpota and the Bribir picnic spots of Lukovo and Masevo.
One-day motor boat trips are often organized, taking visitors to the neighboring villages of Klenovica, Selce, Senj and Crikvenica; and ships take excursions to the islands of Krk and Rab.Croatian coastal landscapes colored by sunset and sunrise hues make these trips especially appealing and romantic.
